OVERVIEW
Since 2007 I have worked for a long list of Fintech clients in a variety of roles from product design, information architect, UI Design, UX research & design and strategy roles. These include retail, consumer banking, PoS and kiosk, security, data processing, investment banking, ethical finance, trade advice, information retrieval, trading platforms, machine learning integration and omnichannel services.
Clients include many of the worlds multinational investment banks including Barclays, HSBC, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Lloyds. I have worked for high street and retail banks including Santander, First Direct, Standard Bank and PTSB. I have worked on dedicated financial analysis & trading platforms including UBS Neo, Thomson Reuters Eikon, TP ICAP, Barclays BARX, Tradeweb Direct and HSBC InvestDirect.
Other roles have included dashboard and cockpit design for data analysis and business intelligence reporting for HSBC, Barclays, Blufin CCI, and Nectar Along with various marketing and campaign work I have also covered platform-specific payment systems such as Virgin Money, PayPal & Amazon and designed many e-commerce, shopping cart systems and service request systems from small retail to global service platforms such as Nissan-Renault, Mercedes and Unilever.
UI FIRST INSTANCE DESIGN
Since 2003 I have been involved in a wide variety of retail banking marketing campaigns, UI design, re-platforming and digital transformation. This has varied from complete redesign of existing platforms to re-platforming existing services. I have helped organisations go through rebranding and complete redesign of global systems such as HSBC and Thomson Reuters and built the UI layer and first instances of various websites and mobile apps for Standard Bank, Blufin CCI, Barclays, Santander and Virgin Money.
PRODUCT DESIGN
I have designed a wide range of products from prototypes that never saw the light of day, to first instance builds, to redesigns and re-platforming of long-standing, well-established fintech products and services. I have designed a wide variety of trading products, multi-instrument tools and automated systems. The following is a small example of these including Barclays HNWI auto-ML optimised tools, the award-winning UBS Actively Managed Certificates - a fully packaged investment strategy app and the Thomson Reuters MyTR dashboard.
