Research and discovery workshops covering in-store, kiosk (ATM), mobile, omni-channel and platform discovery. This was an extensive process as we had to cover the global realestate that included all languges and the differing practices that banking has globally. For instance Mexican cash machines have significantly more sophisticated functionality because they are used as daily, central banking points in Mexico, whereas in the UK they are rarely used and when they are it is simply to dispense cash. Likewise with the HSBC retail banking platform in Hong Kong, most customers hold share portfolios, which in some cases function as personal retirement savings.

DESIGN OUTPUTS

Redesign and re-platforming of CRM, Main HSBC homepage and customer multiple touch-points, including mobile apps, ATM and in store. The digital first approach meant that a lot of other HSBC real estate was re-worked to fit with the new branding. We also created the global pattern library, wireframing and documetnation standards and component libraries for the entire HSBC real estate.
